Therapeutic use and covid-19 in a pediatric population in Yaoundé

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic is an airborne or hand borne viral respiratory disease. Its treatment not yet totally codified. Objective: aim of this study was to describe the therapeutic remedies in a paediatric population Yaoundé. Materials and methods: A cross sectional descriptive conducted Nkolndongo health district from January May 2021 for duration 5 months. All patients aged 0 19 years, tested by RT-PCR managed were included. Results analysed using IBM SPSS.23.0 software data expressed as frequencies percentages. Results: This revealed that among 48 positive 100%have received drugs instructed national protocol 2020. molecules involved included: introychloroquine, azithromycin, zinc vitamin C. At same time, 39.6% have paracetamol 4.16% oxygen. In addition 43.75% used Zingiber officinale Citrus limon, 33.33% Cinchona officinalis, 25% consumed Allium sativum, 22.92% cepa, 8.33% honey, 6.25% Moringa oleifera 10.41% mint crystals. Conclusion: according high proportion children has traditional pharmacopoeia.
